Swimming Drowns New Hampshire

DURHAM, N.H.- Boston College swimming and diving teams defeated New Hampshire today in Durham, N.H. The women's team collected 179.50 points to UNH's 120.50 and the men finished with 175.50 points to UNH's 122.50.
To begin the meet, the 200-medley relay of Nina Suryoutomo, Michelle Lane, Lauren Schwartz and Alexis Kostopoulos took the first of 11 first place finishes for the women's team.
In the first individual competition, Caitlin Leahy finished in first place in the 1000 freestyle with a time of 10:41.12. In the 100 backstroke, Sullivan won the race with 1:00.23. Schwartz took her second first place finish in the 200 butterfly when she finished in 2:07.57. Following in the next event for the women, Kostopouos won the 50 freestyle.
Taking back-to-back first places, Suryoutomo won the 200 freestyle and Melissa Pierce won the 200 backstroke. In the 500 freestyle distance event, Caitlin Klick finished first with 5:10.88. In her third victory of the night, Schwartz won the 100 butterfly with a time of 58.89.
Winning the second diving event of the evening. Kristen Gray collected 246.22 point in the three-meter diving event.
Ending the meet with a victory, the 400 freestyle relay of Klick, Kostopoulos, Katie Sobocienski and Nicole Duffy took first place.
On the men's side, Boston College won the opening 200-medley relay consisting of Matt Baker, Andy Naumann, Russ Keil and Chris Murphy.
