Eagles Take First Place, Tilghman, Sanossian Lead The Way

STOW, MASS. - The Boston College men's golf team was the top finisher in a one day outing Wednesday at Boston University's Putterham Golf Course. The Eagles ended the day with a five-man total of 374, topping BU's final score of 396 and UVM's 413. Taking individual first place honors for the day was BC's own Rich Tilghman, whose three-under 68 led all scores for the day. Boston College freshman Christopher Sanossian finished second in individual competition, marking another strong performance with a two-over par 73. Sophomore Patrick Martin pulled in with a 76, tying for third place honors. Bob Gregory tallied a 78 for the day, complimented by Josh Folkerth's 80 stroke finish, Mike Rich's 81, and Sean McReynolds' 79.
Senior captain Tanner Sloan lead his BU Terriers with a 76, finishing tied with Martin for third place honors. UVM was led by Tom Coakley, who fired a 78.
This weekend, the BC men's team will be hitting the links in Hanover, N.H., at the Dartmouth College Invitational.
