Boston College has been selected to finish fourth in the BIG EAST, according to the 2000 BIG EAST Preseason Media Poll. The Eagles received 109 votes. Miami received 15 first-place votes and was selected first.
In 1999, Boston College posted an 8-3 regular-season record and made its first bowl appearance since 1994 at the Insight.com Bowl. The 2000 squad returns 13 starters and opens the season at West Virginia on September 2 at noon. The game will be televised on ESPN.
