Eagles Drop Contest to New Hampshire, 20-10

Colleen Christopher netted six goals and Jessie Groszkowskim Stephanie Keefe and Hilary Maynes each scored three times as the University of New Hampshire women's lacrosse team routed Boston College, 20-10, Thursday afternoon, April 20, in Durham, NH.
After falling behind 3-1, Boston College rallied to take a 4-3 lead on tallied by Honor Crowther, Chrissie DeMichele and Lauren Miller. UNH starting goalkeeper Amanda Warren was pulled in favor of Danielle Martin at the point - 18:32 remained in the first half. New Hampshire responded by scoring the next seven goals to build a 10-4 advantage, and the Eagles never trimmed the deficit below five goals the rest of the game.
Martin, who held Boston College scoreless for 16:37 before yielding a goal, finished with 12 saves, Warren was not credited with a save. Boston College's Valerie Leuchs stopped seven shots in the loss.
Christopher opened the game's scoring at 24:25 and also potted a pair of goals during UNH's seven-goal outburst. She capped the first-half scoring with :10 remaining to give the Wildcats an 11-5 halftime lead.
Boston College was led by Miler's three goals and two each by Crowther and DeMichele.
Boston College fell to 4-10 in the loss and New Hampshire improved to 6-7.
