Hockey Falls At UNH, 4-1

Durham, N.H. - A first-period goal by sophomore forward Ales Dolinar was not enough as Boston College surrendered three third-period goals in a 4-1 loss to New Hampshire before a crowd of 6,266 at the Whittemore Center. The loss drops the Eagles to 19-9-1 overall and 11-7-1 in HOCKEY EAST play.
Dolinar gave the Eagles a 1-0 lead at 11:59 of the first period with his eighth goal of the season. Kevin Caulfield and Krys Kolanos assisted on the play.
The Wildcats would tie the game midway through the second period before taking the lead for good at 8:29 of the third period. Matt Swain, who scored the game-winner for UNH, added an insurance tally at 18:27 and the Wildcats closed the scoring with an empty-net goal 26 seconds later.
Junior goaltender Scott Clemmensen, who saw his streak of consecutive scoreless minutes end at 216:06, made 23 saves in the loss. Ty Conklin had 30 saves for UNH.
The Eagles will return home to Kelley Rink on Sunday, Feb. 20 to face the Wildcats again in the series finale. The game will be televised on FOX Sports New England at 4 p.m.
