With the win Boston College leads the all-time series 24-7-2. The Eagles hold an 18-2-1 advantage at Alumni Stadium.
Tim Hasselbeck's 30-yard touchdown run in the first period tied his career- and season-long rushing attempt. The score was Hasselbeck's fourth rushing touchdown of his career.
William Green's 33-yard second-quarter touchdown catch was his first career touchdown reception for the Eagles.
Green surpassed the 1,000-yard rushing mark for the season during the Temple game. Green rushed for 91 yards on 23 carries and one rushing touchdown. Green's season total now stands at 1,005 yards. He is the 14th player in Boston College football history to rush for more than 1,000 yards. For the first time BC has had a 1,000-yard rusher in three straight seasons. In 1998 Mike Cloud ran for 1,726 yards. Last season Cedric Washington rushed for l,122 yards.
BC free safety RaMon Johnson's second quarter interception was his second of the season and fifth of his career.
Temple's third-quarter FG by Cap Poklemba snapped a 67:17 scoreless streak by the BC defense. The last time BC's defense was scored upon was in the Rutgers game on Oct. 28, when Rutgers kicked a field goal with five seconds remaining in the second quarter.
When BC quarterback Brian St. Pierre connected on a 45-yard pass play with WR Ryan Read in the third quarter, it marked the longest career pass completion for St. Pierre, and the longest reception of the season for Read.
Dedrick Dewalt's 19-yard touchdown reception at 5:22 of the third quarter was his seventh of the season, extending his career single-season high. His previous single-season high was last season when the junior had four touchdown catches.
BC's Jamal Burke had a career-high five receptions against the Owls for 74 yards.
St. Pierre's finished 11-16 for a career-high 155 yards passing. His previous career-best was a 115-yard effort with a touchdown pass in a 20-16 win against Pittsburgh on Oct. 12, 1999.
BC cornerback Lenny Walls had two interceptions against the Owls, his first multiple-interception game of his BC career.
