Cross Country to Compete at BIG EAST Championships

Chestnut Hill, Mass.--The men's and women's cross country teams will play host to the BIG EAST Championships on Friday, October 27th, at Boston's Franklin Park. The men's five mile race is schedule to begin at 11:30 a.m. and the women's 5k race will start at 12:30 p.m.
Ranked seventh in the nation by the FinishLynx NCAA Division I Women's Cross Country National Poll, the women's team last competed on Saturday, October 14, at the 28th Memorial Cross Country Classic Pre-National Invitational. At this pre-NCAA meet they finished sixth over all out of 56 teams.
In another meet on the same weekend, six of the women's team runners competed at the New England Championships, finishing 14th on Friday October 13. While the men's cross country team last competed on the same day when they took fifth in the varsity race at the New England Championships.
