Men's Golf Takes Fourth Place at ECAC Championships

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. - Boston College Men's Golf earned a spot to compete in this weekend's ECAC Championships by placing first in the Qualifier in late September. Their performance over two rounds of play at Saratoga Spa State Park was equally as impressive. Coached by Trevor Drum and lead by the experience of Rich Tilghman, the Eagles finished tied for fourth place overall with a 609 (305-304) total. Tilghman earned a silver medal in individual competition, placing tied for second with a 145 (73-72). Freshmen Sean McReynolds and Christopher Sanossian boosted the Eagles to their fourth place finish with strong performances of their own. McReynolds finished tied for 11th place with a 150, while Sanossian pulled in tied for 28th with a 154. Rounding off Boston College's performance in the Championship tournament were Bob Gregory with a 160 and Mike Rich with a 166.
The University of Hartford Golf Team earned gold medal honors once again, this time finishing with a two-round 601 (300-301). Hartford's Miroslav Holub lead the field of 94 with a 142 (72-70). Hartford has now won three ECAC Men's Golf Championships with the last win coming in 1996.
The next scheduled commitment for the team is October 23rd at the New England Championships in New Seabury, Mass.
