Men's Basketball Signs Third Recruit

CHESTNUT HILL - Erik Witt, a 6-foot-10-inch, 230-pound forward/center from Bonn, Germany, has signed a national letter of intent to play basketball at Boston College, beginning with the 1999-2000 season, according to head coach Al Skinner.
Witt played junior club basketball in Geneva, Switzerland this past winter, averaging 25 points and 15 rebounds per game. He is a graduate of the International School in Geneva.
Witt is the third player to sign a national letter of intent to join the Eagles next winter. Point guard Troy Bell (Minneapolis, Minn./Academy of Holy Angels) and forward Andrew Dudley (Bristol, Penn./Life Center Academy) signed during the early signing period in November 1998.
