CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Jeff Jagodzinski, offensive coordinator and offensive line coach at Boston College for the past two years, has accepted the position of tight end coach and assistant offensive line coach for the Green Bay Packers.
A Wisconsin native, Jagodzinski is a 1985 graduate of Wisconsin-Whitewater. Prior to coming to BC, he was tight ends coach and assistant offensive line coach at East Carolina University from 1989 through 1996. He spent two years (1987 and 1988) as offensive line coach at LSU, and spent single seasons as an offensive line coach at Northern Illinois (1986) and running backs coach at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater (1985).
"This is a tremendous opportunity to be a part of an NFL organization with such a rich tradition," Jagodzinski says. "I grew up following the Packers, and I am extremely excited.
"I appreciate the opportunity to coach at Boston College. The young men I worked with here are the finest I have had the opportunity to coach. I see the program headed in the right direction under the direction of (Athletics Director) Gene DeFilippo and (Head Coach) Tom O'Brien."
Jeff and Lisa Jagodzinski are the parents of four children, Josh (10), JoAnne (4), Jessica (1) and Jacqueline (5 months).
"I would like to thank Jeff for everything he has contributed to our program," says BC head coach Tom O'Brien. "We will miss Jeff, Lisa and their children as they move on. They have been valuable members of our family here at BC. I know it has been Jeff's dream to coach in professional football, and we wish him nothing but the best."
