Boston College Partakes in Annual Spring Football Game

Quarterback Tim Hasselbeck completed 12 of 25 passes for 174 yards and two touchdowns Saturday to lead the white squad to a 31-14 victory over the maroon squad in Boston College's annual Jay McGillis Memorial Spring Football Game. The 6-1 junior from Norfolk, Mass., connected with wide receiver Dedrick Dewalt on both touchdowns. Dewalt, a 5-9 sophomore from Chicago, led all receivers with six catches for 145 yards.
Senior running back Carlton Rowe (Huntington, N.Y.) carried the ball 19 times for 89 yards and a touchdown to lead the white team in rushing.
Redshirt freshman quarterback Brian St. Pierre (Danvers, Mass.) completed 9 of 13 passes for 101 yards and a touchdown to lead the maroon squad. Junior running back Cedric Washington (Holyoke, Mass.) led the maroon squad in rushing, carrying the ball 15 times for 70 yards. Washington also was the maroon teams leading receiver with four catches for 59 yards.
