CHESTNUT HILL, MA - Tufts University, led by senior Brian Symmons, outlasted Boston College at Shea Field today, 7-6. Symmons contributed both offensively and defensively, smacking a three-run homer in the first inning, and pitching seven innings for the win.
Boston College was paced by junior Jeff Waldron and sophomore Steve Langone, who combined for four RBI on 5-of-10 hitting, including four doubles. Seniors Brendan Levesque and David Bingham recorded an RBI each to round out BC's scoring.
On the pitching side, sophomore David Conley entered the game in the fourth inning and shut down Tufts the remaining six innings, allowing only five players to reach base.
