Baseball Doubleheader Rained Out

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Saturday afternoon's doubleheader between Georgetown and Boston College has been cancelled due to rain and poor field conditions. Georgetown head coach Kirk Mason and Boston College head coach Moe Maloney both cited player safety as their primary concern in the decision to call off the games. Amidst a steady drizzle, both coaches deemed the outfield, saturated with standing water, a safety concern.

The 12-9 Hoyas return to action tomorrow, Sunday, March 22, when they host University of Pittsburgh in a BIG EAST doubleheader. Game time is 12:00 noon.
