Hockey Loses to New Hampshire, 2-1, in Overtime

Sophomore forward David Busch?s goal 36 seconds into overtime lifted New Hampshire to a 2-1 HOCKEY EAST win over Boston College before a crowd of 6,266 at the Whittemore Center in Durham, N.H.
The loss dropped Boston College to 5-5-0 on the season, 3-4-0 in league action. The loss marked the Eagles? fourth consecutive loss. The last time BC lost four consecutive games was in November 1995.
After a scoreless first period, senior Jeff Farkas put BC ahead, 1-0, at 4:39 of the second period. The goal was Farkas? 10th of the season. Junior Mike Lephart assisted on the goal.
New Hampshire freshman forward Jim Abbott evened the score at 8:50 of the second period.
BC freshman Tim Kelleher made 25 stops, while UNH junior Ty Conklin made 15 saves.
Boston College returns to action on Tuesday, November 30. Game time is 7 p.m. in Kelley Rink.
