CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - Boston College's final home football game, vs. West Virginia on Saturday, Nov. 13, will be televised live by ESPN, the network announced this week. Kickoff time will remain at noon.
The announcement means that all four of BC's remaining games will be televised on a regional or national basis. Saturday's game at Syracuse will be televised by ESPN Regional Television, carried in the Boston market by WLVI-TV (channel 56). Kickoff for that game is set for noon EDT.
Following the West Virginia game, BC will play at Notre Dame on Nov. 20 (2:30 p.m., NBC) and at Virginia Tech on Friday, Nov. 26 (2:30 p.m., CBS).
Boston College is one of America's most televised college teams. Nine of BC's 11 games this season will have been televised on a regional or national basis. Since 1992, BC has appeared on regional or national television 71 times.
The BC Athletics family is mourning the death of John Andrew Ramos of Mattapan, the father of BC sophomore defensive back Jason Smith. Mr. Ramos died this past Saturday. His wake and funeral service will be held today (Wednesday) in Roxbury
