Matt Burke enters his first season as an assistant coach with the Boston College softball program.

The newest addition to the staff comes to the Heights after serving as the Director of Player Development and Operations at Pittsburgh for the 2025 season.

Before Pitt, Burke spent the 2024 season as a graduate manager for the Ole Miss softball program. During his season in Oxford, the Rebels earned their eighth consecutive bid to the NCAA Softball Championship as the No. 3 seed in the Lafayette Regional.

Prior to arriving in Oxford, Burke spent the 2023 season as a member of Coach Allard's staff at Harvard, serving as the program's director of operations during a season in which they claimed the Ivy League Championship and made the NCAA Tournament.

Burke also spent four years working with the Cape Cod Baseball League where he was an operations intern for the 2018 Falmouth Commodores in addition to working for three sports data companies.

A 2021 graduate from the University of Alabama with a degree in Sports Management, Burke also received an MBA in Sports Administration from St. Thomas University (Miami) in 2022.
