Brendan Desautels is in his first year as assistant director of athletics leadership giving.Â
As part of his current role, Desautels supports alumni, family, and friends of the university in the New England area, as well as the New York City metro area and Midwest. He is also the department liaison for the baseball and swim and dive teams.Â
Prior to arriving at the Heights, Desautels served as the assistant director of development for athletics at Stony Brook University. Prior to his time on Long Island, he served as the director of sport specific giving at the United States Military Academy at West Point where he developed a sport-specific giving strategy to support cadet student-athletes.Â
Before his role at West Point, he was an account executive in the Washington Nationals front office, helping drive revenue through ticket sales. Before his time in Major League Baseball, Desautels was assistant to the program director of athletic advancement at the University of Notre Dame.Â
Native of Holden, Mass., Desautels graduated from Assumption University in 2021 with a bachelor’s degree in management and finance. During his time, he was captain of the baseball team. He is also a graduate of the University of Notre Dame Mendoza College of Business where he earned a master’s degree in nonprofit administration in 2022.Â
He is currently working to obtain a Master of Business Administration at Boston College.Â
