Alex Rogers joins the Boston College cross country and track and field team as an assistant coach for the 2023-24 season. Rogers will also be working with the distance runners for both the men’s and women’s cross country and track & field teams.
Before joining the Eagles staff, Rogers was an assistant track and field coach at Concordia University in Austin, Texas. During his time there, he was responsible for all aspects of training for the distance group. From 2019-22, Rogers raced professionally for Reebok, serving as a brand ambassador for the company while competing at the U.S. Olympic Trials.
A 2019 graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, Rogers was a four-time All-American with the Longhorns’ cross country and track & field programs. He holds the Texas 3,000m record (7:51.11) and was named to the university’s academic honor roll eight times.
