Claire Barkin joins the Boston College staff for the 2016-2017. Barkin previously served as a volunteer coach with Boston University’s openweight women’s program.
Barkin graduated from Trinity College in 2014 with a BS in Neuroscience, where she rowed for all four years. At Trinity College, Barkin was captain her senior year and led the team to a National Championship in 2014.
Barkin knows the Charles River well, she won the 2012 Head of the Charles in the Collegiate 8+ and placed 2nd the following year. After Barkin’s junior year at Trinity College, she traveled with her team to the Henley Women’s Regatta.
Over the course of her collegiate career, Barkin has earned several conference awards, including 1st Team All-NESCAC and sportsmanship awards.
