Rowing Finishes Day One of ACC Championship

CLEMSON, S.C. – The Boston College rowing team raced five boats on day one of the 2025 ACC Rowing Championship, held Friday morning at Lake Hartwell in Clemson, South Carolina.

The Eagles started the morning with a fifth-place finish in Heat 2 of the Third Varsity 8+. Boston College closed out the opening day with a fifth-place finish in Heat 2 the Second Varsity 4+. All five crews will compete in the petite finals on Saturday.

The morning was sunny and a high of 73F. Winds NE at 3 mph.

The Third Varsity 8+, coxed by Chloe Reisinger with rowers Josie Hohenrieder, Ruby Barnett, Reagan Rock, Avery Lehmann, Ella Davis, Charlotte Cochener, Molly Welch and Eva Kelliher, finished their heat in 7:04.839.

The Varsity 8+, coxed by Caroline Jennings with rowers Lucy Barratt, Lauren Bauer, Rachele Papineau, Lauren Meath, Leighton Smith, Molly Devine, Grace Yi and Leighton Davis, finished their first heat in 6:41.284.

The Second Varsity 8+, a team of coxswain Madelyn Stevens, and rowers Sierra Ross, Brooke Picazio, Jennie Sherwood, Lauren Craven, Callaghan Nickerson, Lauren Schramm, Erin Smith and Kirsten Thorn, posted a time of 7:03.715.

The First Varsity 4+, coxed by Lucy Fortner with rowers Quinn Baker, Claire Piacentini, Elizabeth Cobb and Jo McTamney finished the course with a time of 7:31.656.

The Second Varsity 4+ closed out the day for the Eagles. Coxed by Kendra Schmidt with rowers Chloe Wilkinson, Olivia Hankey, Neave Anderson and Amelia Sanger, the crew recorded a time of 7:55.256.
