Rowing Wraps up ACC Championship

Papineau named Third Team All-ACC
CLEMSON, S.C. – The Boston College rowing team posted strong performances on Saturday to close out the 2025 ACC Rowing Championship at Lake Hartwell in Clemson, South Carolina.
Rachele Papineau was named to the All-ACC Third Team following the conclusion of the championship.
The Varsity 4+ finished fourth in the petite final, the best finish for the Eagles on the weekend. The Third Varsity 8+ and Second Varsity 4+ crews got the day going with fifth-place finishes.
The morning was mostly cloudy and a high of 72F with a real feel of 82F. Winds S at 2 mph.
"Proud of this group with the work they've put in and the growth they've experienced this season," said head coach Grace Hollowell. "They've stepped up as the conference gets faster, four of five of our crews posted fastest times of the past decade. Also, fantastic racing by all crews, especially the V4 going toe to toe in a photo finish. Thankful for our seniors and their leadership!"
The Third Varsity 8+, coxed by Chloe Reisinger with rowers Josie Hohenrieder, Ruby Barnett, Reagan Rock, Avery Lehmann, Ella Davis, Charlotte Cochener, Molly Welch and Eva Kelliher, finished their race in 6:52.342.
The Second Varsity 4+ was up next for the Eagles. Coxed by Kendra Schmidt with rowers Chloe Wilkinson, Olivia Hankey, Neave Anderson and Amelia Sanger, the crew recorded a time of 7:38.001.
The First Varsity 4+, coxed by Lucy Fortner with rowers Quinn Baker, Claire Piacentini, Elizabeth Cobb and Jo McTamney finished the course with a time of 7:21.059.
The Second Varsity 8+, a team of coxswain Madelyn Stevens, and rowers Sierra Ross, Brooke Picazio, Jennie Sherwood, Lauren Craven, Callaghan Nickerson, Lauren Schramm, Erin Smith and Kirsten Thorn, posted a time of 6:51.314.
The Varsity 8+ closed out the day for Boston College. Coxed by Caroline Jennings with rowers Lucy Barratt, Lauren Bauer, Rachele Papineau, Lauren Meath, Leighton Smith, Molly Devine, Grace Yi and Leighton Davis, the crew finished the race in 6:30.135.
