Rock To Represent Team USA At FISU World University Rowing Championships

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Boston College senior rower Regan Rock will represent Team USA at the 2026 FISU World University Rowing Championships, Aug. 13-15, at Fanshawe Lake in London, Ontario, Canada.
A native of Mattapoisett, Mass., Rock will race in the 2- (coxless pair) and 8+ (coxed eight) for Team USA. The championships feature more than 300 student-athletes from more than 20 countries and mark the first time the FISU World University Rowing Championships have been held in Canada.
"We are so excited for Regan to represent Boston College and Team USA at the World University Games," said Boston College rowing head coach Grace Hollowell. "It has been a pleasure to watch her grow and develop over the past three years into an outstanding athlete, leader and person. She is an excellent representative of our program and BC as a whole. This opportunity is a testament to her work ethic and commitment to her team and her sport.
"We look forward to welcoming her back this fall with invaluable international racing experience, along with refined small boat skills. Racing on the international stage is a special experience; it gives you a better idea of what 'fast' truly is. I know Regan will take those lessons home with her and will continue to raise the bar not just for herself, but also for our team as a whole."
The championships are being hosted at Fanshawe Lake, which previously served as the venue for the 2001 Canada Summer Games and as a training facility for the Canadian national rowing team. More recently, Fanshawe Lake hosted the 2022 Can Am Mex Rowing Championships and the 2025 Canada Cup.
The 2026 championships are being organized by Western University in collaboration with Rowing Canada, the City of London, Tourism London and other partners.
Competition continues through Saturday, Aug. 15. The event's livestream and additional information are available through the FISU World University Championships website.
