Michael Gibson was hired as the Director of Operations in June of 2018.
For Gibson, it’s a return home as he graduated from Boston College in 2008. He was a women’s basketball team manager while a student and traveled with the team to the ACC Tournament during the inaugural season. He was also with the Eagles during the 2006 NCAA run when they defeated Notre Dame and then-No. 1 Ohio State before losing to Utah in the Sweet 16.
An Andover, Mass. native, Gibson was Director of Operations at Hofstra for seven years before serving as an assistant coach the last three seasons.
While at Hofstra, Gibson ran the women’s basketball camps, coordinated all aspects of team travel, non-conference scheduling as well as monitoring the program budget. While an assistant coach, Gibson was responsible for scouting reports, recruiting, game scheduling, monitoring players grades as well as post player development.
Gibson holds a degree in accounting and finance from BC and is currently pursuing his master’s degree.
