Brandon Sanders is in his first year on the Boston College strength and conditioning staff. He is responsible for the strength and conditioning programs for women's basketball and the men's/women's tennis programs.
Sanders comes to BC after serving as the first full-time Sports Performance Coordinator at Barry University. While in Miami, he was responsible for developing and implementing sports performance programs for Barry's 13 intercollegiate athletic teams. During his five years at Barry, Sanders built up the Sports Performance Unit from a staff of one full-time and one graduate assistant to four certified positions with two full-time, one part-time and one graduate assistant performance coaches. Along with the development of the staff, Sanders was part of the development of a very successful group of student-athletes. Among the 13 teams, he helped produced 46 NCAA DII All-Americans, 15 Sunshine State Conference Championships and 8 NCAA DII National Championships over his five years at Barry.
Before arriving at Barry, Brandon was an assistant strength and conditioning coach for NC State from 2014 to 2017. There, he implemented the programs for women's soccer, softball and the track sprinters. He helped develop student-athletes who went on to earn All-America and All-Atlantic Coast Conference honors in track, including the 100M, 200M and back-to-back 4x100M conference champions, and All-ACC and a regional championship in softball.
Prior to NC State, Sanders worked for two years at Troy University in Alabama, where he coordinated the conditioning programs for baseball, softball and women's tennis. He helped prepare the Trojans as they won the 2013 Sun Belt Conference Championship.Â
He was a graduate assistant at Florida State University for two years. He coordinated the strength and conditioning programs for cheer/dance, men's and women's diving, and men's and women's tennis.
He earned his master's degree in sports science from Florida State in April 2012 and earned his bachelor's degree in exercise science from Salisbury University in 2007. He holds CSCS national certification from the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) as well as a USAW Level 2 Weightlifting Coach from USA Weightlifting.
