Avery LaBarbera was announced as the new graduated assistant on Thursday, June 8, 2023.Â
"I am extremely grateful to begin this new chapter at Boston College as a graduate assistant. I am thrilled to have received the opportunity to learn from Coach Mac and her staff. I'm excited to be a part of building something special here at BC!"
LaBarbera enjoyed a successful collegiate career with Holy Cross and Wisconsin. In her one season with the Badgers, LaBarbera averaged 11 points per game, while appearing in 30 games. She was fifth in the Big Ten averaging 34.7 minutes per game and led the team shooting 37.9 percent from beyond the arc.Â
She enjoyed a stellar four-year career with Holy Cross, as she was a four-time All-Patriot League selection, highlighted by a 2021-22 Patriot League Player of the Year award. She ended her stint with HC with 1,478 points and 600 rebounds, and finished third all-time in 3-pointers made, sixth in minutes played, seventh in scoring average double-doubles, field goal attempts and 13th all-time in scoring.Â

She will prove to be a rising star in the coaching profession."
