She was the Eagle's highest finishing performer at the Terrier Invite with her 2nd Place finish in the 100 Backstroke and her 6th Place finish in the 200 backstroke... Megan got touched out in her 100 Backstroke by .01, but it was such a great race that she was awarded Outstanding Performance for the Eagles... Megan was the top backstroker for the Medley relays throughout the year. Her backstroke legs contributed to strong Eagle finishes at the Terrier Invite and the ACC Championship... Megan finished her season off strong at the ACC Championship in the 100 and 200 Backstroke, 100 Butterfly and 50 Freestyle... Megan had 15 overall first place finishes this season. Right after her last race, she boarded a plane and took off to Melbourne, Australia for a semester abroad... Megan is a consistent Dean's List honoree achieving it again these past two semesters... For the 3rd year in a row, Megan achieved ACC Academic All American standards... She is Vice President of the Circle K volunteer group, a Chairperson for the Boston College Campus School Volunteers, a member of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee, and a member of the Phi Lambda Theta Teachers Education Honor Society.

AS A FRESHMAN: (2008-2009)
Megan had a great first season as an Eagle...She started off her Freshman year with many first and second place finishes. At the Loyola/Navy/Catholic meet at Loyola, Maryland she earned the Swimmer of the Meet award for her performances in the 100 and 200 backstroke. At her first taper meet in November at the University of Boston she had one of her best meets ever when she got two personal best times in the 100 and 200 backstroke. As her season progressed she continued to work hard and swim well... However, the culmination of her Freshman season was at the ACC Championships at the University of Maryland. Megan bettered her personal best times in the 100 and 200 back with the times of 57.8 and 2:04.9... Both of those times even broke the BC records!... although both of those records only lasted for no more than two minutes when her teammate Katie Fritsch swam after her and broke the records by even more. It was a great and exciting freshman season for Megan, and what made it even more special was being able to be the recipient of the Mary Pawlak Award at the BC swim banquet.
