AS A SOPHOMORE (2018-19): Swam a personal best in the 100 Y Back with a time of 54.94… swam a personal best in the 50 Y Free with a time of 23.83… swam a personal best in the 50 Y Back with a time of 25.14.
AS A FRESHMAN (2017-2018): Served as a key member of the women’s team, competing primarily in backstroke events, and earning herself a trip to the ACC Championships her rookie year, where she competed as the backstroker on the record-setting 200 yd. and 400 yd. medley relays, set the school records in the 50 yd. backstroke (25.69) and 100 yd. backstroke (55.91), and placed 40th in the 100 yd. backstroke (56.40), 51st in the 100 yd. freestyle (52.60), and 63rd in the 50 yd. freestyle (24.13) ... at the Terrier Invitational, placed 4th in the 100 yd. backstroke (56.42), and 13th in the 100 yd. butterfly (57.71), and swam the backstroke leg on the winning 200 yd. medley relay, which also set a school record…placed first in the 100 yd. backstroke (57.67) vs. Boston University ... placed first in the 100 yd. backstroke (58.95) vs. MIT ... placed first in the 100 yd. backstroke (59.51) vs. Tufts ... placed second in the 100 yd. backstroke vs. Williams (57.31) ... scored a total of 191.25 points her freshman year…end of season honors include the Harold M. Groden Award for Outstanding Performance, as a result of her contributions to the record-setting 200 yd. medley relay.
BEFORE BC: High School Team Captain 2016-17…Holds school team records in the 200 medley relay, 200 freestyle relay, and 100 backstroke…200 freestyle relay team placed second in PA AAA States in 2017…Qualified for PA AAA States all four years (2014-17)…Captain of Lacrosse team.
PERSONAL: Daughter of Jan and Greg Grimes…She has two brothers, Conor (22), who attended University of California, Santa Barbara, and Evan (20), who is the president of his club lacrosse team at Penn State University…Swam since the age of four, and played lacrosse since the age of seven...Enrolled in the Connell School of Nursing.
