AS A SOPHOMORE: (2010-2011): Had 28 first place finishes during the season. Received the Harold M. Groden Award for Outstanding Performance. Received the Outstanding performance award for the Army and Rider University meets for the 1m and 3m events. Named outstanding performer at the meets against Fairfield University, Brown University, Rider University, and Loyola College Maryland. Named to the 2010-2011 All-ACC Academic Honor Roll.
AS A FRESHMAN: (2009-2010): Named outstanding performer during the Canisius, Colgate, Tufts, and Brandeis meets. Broke the 3m record with a score of 315.82 against Brandeis University. Received the Mary Pawlak Award for his contributions to the team. Received the James J. Kane Academic Award. Named to the 2010-2011 All-ACC Academic Honor Roll. Earned 2009-10 Athletic Director's Award for Academic Achievement.
BEFORE BC: Attended Marist School in Atlanta, Georgia...Placed third in the 1m at the Georgia state high school meet. Classified All-American in the 1m diving his junior and senior year. Holds the school-record for the 6 dive and 11 dive competitions on the 1m board. In 2009 was Captain of the Marist Varsity Swim team his senior year when the team won the high school state meet. Was also Vice-President of his class and a member of the National Honor Society.
PERSONAL: Marty is the son of Jeff and Casey Long... has an older sister Claire and a younger brother Kevin. Dove for Atlanta Diving Association throughout high school. Currently enrolled in the Carroll School of Management, a Finance and Hispanic Studies major. Named to 2009-10 All-ACC Academic Honor Roll...
