Leah Boggs is entering her first season as an assistant coach with the Boston College softball program.
Boggs will specialize in working with the catchers. She will also be involved with all aspects of the program's day-to-day operations and recruiting.Â
"Leah brings a wealth of ACC playing experience and enthusiasm to the coaching profession. I am thrilled to have her join the BC Family," Kvilhaug said. "I have watched her play for four years with unmatched passion in what she does. Leah will bring relatable experience, not only to our catchers, but to our entire program."
A 2024 graduate of Virginia, Boggs was a four-year letter winner with the Cavaliers' softball program. Â A career .271 hitter with seven home runs and 55 RBI in 182 games, Boggs was a two-time NFCA First Team All-Region selection. Â This past season, she helped guide UVA to the NCAA Regional Final in Knoxville.
She also shined off the diamond, as a three-time All-ACC Academic Softball team and ACC Academic Honor Roll recipient. Boggs earned her degree in youth and social innovation.
Boggs began her coaching career shortly after graduation, serving as a volunteer assistant with the Vibe Professional softball team/. In this role, she assisted with day-to-day operations, including practice planning and bullpens. Â She also worked as a head coach in the Florida Gulf Coast Summer League, working with the Impact program.
