In the 2017 season, Jessica Dreswick was named to the All-ACC First team as she also broke the school record for single-season victories (22) and single-season starts (39) under Brown. Dreswick also won ACC Pitcher of the Week (4/4) after going 3-0 with a 0.41 ERA.
During the 2016 season, Brown helped coach Dreswick to the first ACC and second-overall no-hitter in program history against NC State on April 23, 2016. During that same season, Dreswick had a 2.47 ERA as she earned NFCA Mid-Atlantic All-Region Second Team and All-ACC Second Team honors. Allyson Frei also earned NFCA Mid-Atlantic All-Region Second Team as she posted a 2.90 ERA and led the ACC in strikeouts looking (56) while finishing third in strikeouts under Brown’s guidance.
Brown joined the Eagles staff in 2015, after spending 2014 as an assistant coach at the University of Akron.
Prior to working with the Zips, Brown was an assistant coach at the University of Connecticut.
Brown's resume included working as an assistant coach for two seasons at the University of North Carolina Pembroke. She also worked with the Great Britain Women's Softball National Team, overseeing pitcher training and preparation for international competition.
Before joining the collegiate coaching ranks, Brown completed an impressive career as a professional coach and player, both in the U.S. and abroad. She has spent time in countries such as Canada, San Marino, Italy, Netherlands, Great Britain, Czech Republic and Bulgaria.
Brown, a 2007 graduate of Florida Southern College, was a three-time All-American for the Moccasins.Â
She was a three-time Sunshine State Conference Pitcher of the Year and, in June 2013, was the seventh Florida Southern softball player inducted into the Sunshine State Conference Hall of Fame.
Brown earned her bachelor's degree in physical education from Florida Southern in 2007 and her master's degree in education, also from Florida Southern, in 2009. She completed her Ph.D. in kinesiology from Auburn University in 2013.
