Tim Jackson is entering his third season as an assistant strength and conditioning coach for the Boston College football program. Jackson arrived on the Heights in March 2022 following three years at The Trench Academy, a performance facility located in Tampa, Fla. At Trench, Jackson was a performance coach and defensive line specialist where he trained professional, collegiate and high school athletes.
Prior to his career in the private sector, Jackson spent four seasons coaching high school football in St. Petersburg. In 2019, he served as defensive line and strength coach at Lakewood High School where he helped the team win a Class 4A Regional Championship. From 2015-2017 Jackson coached at his alma mater Gibbs High School as a defensive coordinator (2015) and defensive line coach. During Jackson’s time as defensive coordinator, Gibbs won a Class 5A District Championship.
Jackson played four years at North Carolina as a defensive lineman for the Tar Heels. In 2010, Jackson started six games as a true freshman and was a finalist for ACC Defensive Rookie of the Year. In 2014, he signed with the Houston Texans as an undrafted free agent. He also spent time in the Canadian Football League with the BC Lions in 2015.
Jackson is Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC) through the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. He is also a Certified FRC Mobility Specialist (FRCms). He graduated with a bachelor’s in exercise and sport science.
Jackson resides in Watertown with his wife, Patience, and their daughter Adora.
