• Returns to the Heights for his first season as BC’s Director of Football Initiatives.
• Spent the 2017 season as the offensive line coach at Garden City (Kan.) Community College and the 2016 season at Concord (W.Va.) University in the same role.
• Served three stints as a graduate assistant at FIU from 2013-15 and in the 2012 offseason at Eastern Kentucky to begin his coaching career.
• Drafted in the fourth round by the Chicago Bears in the 2007 NFL Draft, he played professionally from 2007-12 with the Bears (2007-09), Florida Tuskers (2010 – UFL), Indianapolis Colts (2011 – practice squad) and Jacksonville Jaguars (2012).
• As a guard for the Eagles from 2002-06, he started 37 games and served as a team captain his senior year.
• Earned Associated Press First Team All-America, All-ACC First Team in 2006 and four Second Team All-America honors.
• Awarded the 2006 Scanlan Award by the Boston College Varsity Club for the senior football player who best embodies Tom Scanlan (’20).
• Beekman graduated from BC with a bachelor’s degree in history and a master’s in administrative studies. His wife Peggy (’06) earned a degree from Boston College in accounting.
