Ian White is in his first season as a member of the Boston College football staff an offensive graduate assistant. He played his final year on the offensive line at The Heights in 2013.

White was a three-year starter for the Eagles and a co-captain as a senior. He earned All-Atlantic Coast Conference honors mention from the Atlantic Coast Sports Media Association and the league’s head coaches for his play in his final season. He also collected ACC Offensive Lineman of the Week after a stellar performance in the team’s 34-27 home win over Virginia Tech on Nov. 2. White and the offensive line allowed BC to rush 42 times for 196 yards, marking the most VT had allowed up to that point. In his senior campaign, the Eagles rushed for at least 100 yards in 11 games, over 200 yards in six games, over 300 yards in three games and for 420 against NC State on Nov. 16. White blocked for 2013 Doak Walker Award winner Andre Williams, who became just the 16th running back in FBS history to eclipse 2,000 yards.

The Conway, N.H., native started 42 games for the Eagles in his career. He earned his bachelor’s degree in human development from the Lynch School of Education. He is currently pursuing a master’s degree in administrative studies from the Woods School of Advancing Studies.
