Chris Trifone

Chris Trifone is in his first year as a member of the Boston College football staff. He is entering his third season under the direction of Steve Addazio and is a defensive/special teams' graduate assistant coach. He assists in the organization, classroom teaching and on-field coaching of the defensive backs and all phases of special teams' play. Trifone also assists in the recruiting areas of New York, Western Pennsylvania, Massachusetts and South Florida.
Prior to his arrival at the Heights in January 2013, he served as a defensive graduate assistant coach at Temple University for two seasons, adding special teams' coaching duties to his responsibilities in his second season (2012) with the Owls.
Trifone has also worked as an assistant coach at Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
A native of Cheshire, Conn., he earned his bachelor's degree from Endicott College in 2010. He played quarterback, defensive back, defensive end and wide receiver during his four-year career for the Gulls. Trifone is a certified physical education teacher in the states of Massachusetts and Connecticut. He currently resides in Chestnut Hill.
