2026 Training Camp Practice #2- August 6

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The 2026 Boston College Eagles returned to the Chamberlin Practice Fields on Thursday for day two of training camp on a humid and muggy August morning.
As the temperature continued to rise throughout the morning, so too did the intensity of Thursday's practice session, featuring one-on-one work between the Eagles receivers and defensive backs. It was the receivers who came out on top of the period, with Washington State transfer Landon Wright making an over-the-shoulder grab towards the front pylon for a score after a 30-yard throw. Florida transfer Jackson Wade added a touchdown of his own during the period as well.
"We're getting the ball rolling," wide receiver Jaedn Skeete told the voice of BC Football, Jon Meterparel, during episode one of the BC Football Camp Report. "Everybody is meshing well. The defense looks good. The offense looks good. We're competing. This has been a good start to our camp."
The defense didn't go away quietly as practice continued. Second-year linebacker Griffin Collins jumped in front of a passing lane for an interception. Later in the competitive team period, Washington State transfer linebacker Anthony Palano broke up a pass on the goal line, stopping a sure-fire touchdown.
"This team is working hard to get to where we want to get to, and that brings a certain excitement to practice every day," defensive tackle Chris Marable Jr. told Meterparel after practice.
The quarterbacks continued building on their chemistry with the skill guys on day two. Mason McKenzie found tight end Brady Clough for a touchdown before connecting with Zeke Moore in the end zone later in the period.
The Eagles will have their first off day Friday before returning to the field Saturday for three straight practice sessions. Practices are closed to the public.
