CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Day seven of training camp for the 2026 Boston College football team concluded Thursday morning, marking the Eagles' second consecutive day of practice.
The connection between the quarterbacks and wide receivers picked up where it left off Wednesday, with Johnathan Montague Jr. hauling in a deep ball while falling on his back near the sideline to kickstart the offense. In the running back room, second-year returner Bo MacCormack III made the most of his opportunities, breaking off several long runs as the offense continued to build momentum.
"Between Evan [Dickens], Nolan [Ray], Bo [MacCormack III] and Mekhi [Dodd], those are four older guys that have played or have been here. I'm really excited about those guys," running backs coach Mike Hart told the voice of BC Football, Jon Meterparel, on the "BC Football Camp Report" following practice.
The defensive line was also active throughout the session. After a batted ball halted an offensive drive in the red zone, Onye Nwosisi and Favor Bate each found their way into the backfield, continuing to disrupt the offense.
"Guys look forward to showing up and getting better every day. Everyone is buying into what Coach O'Brien is saying. We all have the same goals and the same mission," safety KP Price said on the "BC Football Camp Report."
The Eagles closed practice with a goal-to-go situation, where Reed Swanson and Dawson Pough each rose to the occasion, hauling in touchdown passes at the back pylon to cap the session on a high note for the offense.
Boston College will return to the Chamberlin Practice Fields Friday morning for its third consecutive day of practice. Practices are closed to the public.
