Women's Tennis Drops 4-1 to No. 28 Miami

MIAMI, Fla. – The Boston College women's tennis team (8-12, 0-10 ACC) dropped 4-1 to No. 28 Miami (13-4, 8-2 ACC) on Sunday afternoon.

Miami secured the early advantage by claiming the doubles point with wins in doubles No. 1 and No. 2. Olivia Cutone and Leyden Games doubles match remained unfinished.

Leyden Games responded with the lone Eagles victory of the day, defeating her opponent, 6-3, 6-0. Though the Eagles fought across the lineup, the Hurricanes secured three singles victories to take the match, 4-1. Olivia Benton was locked in a tight battle with No. 96 Sofia Rocchetti at the top spot before her match went unfinished, while Tola Glowacka also pushed her opponent to a first-set tiebreak on court four prior to suspension.Â
