Men's Tennis Falls to No. 24 Stanford

STANFORD, Calif. – The Boston College men's tennis team (4-8, 0-6 ACC) fell 4-0 to No. 24 Stanford (11-5, 4-2 ACC) Saturday afternoon in Stanford.

Boston College opened the match with an impressive performance at No. 2 doubles, where Aidan Pack and Matthew Overvelde earned a 6-2 victory over the No. 61-ranked tandem from Stanford. The Eagles' pair controlled the match early, delivering BC's lone win of the day. Stanford ultimately secured the doubles point with wins on courts three and one. The No. 12-ranked Stanford duo topped Liam O'Leary and Matvey Greschner in a tight 7-5 decision to clinch the doubles point heading into singles play.

In singles play, the Cardinal captured the three straight matches to secure the overall victory. Several Eagles had matches that remained unfinished.Â
