Men's Tennis Drops to Florida State

WEYMOUTH, Mass. – The Boston College men's tennis team (4-9, 0-7 ACC) dropped 4-0 to Florida State (10-9, 2-5 ACC) Thursday afternoon at the Weymouth Club.

Florida State secured the doubles point with wins in No. 1 and No. 3 doubles to take an early 1-0 lead heading into singles play. The duo of Aidan Pack and Matthew Overvelde left their No. 2 doubles match unfinished, up 5-4.

Boston College continued to battle in singles play, with three matches remaining tightly contested before going unfinished. At No. 1 singles, Mai Gao battled back in the second set to trail just 4-3 after dropping a close first set. Matvey Greschner also kept things close at No. 2, leveling the second set at 3-3 after a close first-set loss. Luke Levanat rallied late in the second set at No. 6 to pull within one game.
