Hemming Named Hockey East Rookie of the Week

The freshman earns his first weekly award
AMESBURY, Mass. – Freshman forward Oscar Hemming was named the Hockey East Pro Ambitions Rookie of the Week, announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.
Last week, Hemming tallied two primary assists to help lead the Eagles past Harvard, 5-1, in the Beanpot semifinals to advance to the championship game, marking his second multi-point game of the season.
Hemming and the Eagles are back in action tonight against Boston University in the Beanpot Championship at TD Garden in the 300th Battle of Comm Ave. Puck drop is slated for 7:30 p.m. and can be watched on NESN (New England), NHL Network (Outside New England), ESPN+ (Outside New England) and TSN3 (Canada) along with a radio broadcast on WEEI 850 AM.
