Men's Fencing Compete at Beguinet Classic

DURHAM, N.C. – The Boston College Men's Fencing team competed in its final event of the regular season at the Beguinet Classic on the campus of Duke University.
The Eagles competed against Duke, UNC, Notre Dame, NYU, and Johns Hopkins.
The men's team went 3-2 against the competition. Saber went 3-2, foil went 3-2, and epee went 1-3. They defeated Duke in round one, 16-11, and won the foil and epee. They fell in round two to UNC, 15-12, with Saber winning 7-2, while dropping close battles in the other two weapons. In round four, the Eagles lost to Notre Dame, 19-8, and were swept in all three events. In round five, Boston College defeated NYU, 16-11, with Saber and foil winning, and epee falling. In the final match of the day, the Eagles defeated Johns Hopkins, 19-8. All three weapons swept their matches to help Boston College men earn victory in their final tuneup before ACCs in two weeks.
