Eagles in the Mix After First Day of Reynolds Lake Oconee Invitational

As a team, the Eagles are shooting best on par-5 holes (-6)
GREENSBORO, Ga. – Boston College Women's Golf ended the first day of action in fifth place at the Reynolds Lake Oconee Invitational. The Eagles (294-189=483) shot 6-over par in the first round before getting through two-thirds of the second round. The three-day tournament was pushed to 36 holes on Friday afternoon due to inclement weather expected to hit the area on Saturday.

Freshman Joyce Zhang (73-42=115) leads the way for BC, sitting at even par, tied for sixth place. The Milpitas, California native shot a 73 to open the invitational before draining four birdies on the back nine.

Right behind is graduate student Tiffany Cao (71-51=122) in a seven-way tie for 19th place at 3-over par. Cao opened with a first-round score of 71, hitting six birdies. Next is senior Cynthia Zhang (75-49=124), currently tied for 26th place at 4-over par.

Rounding out the BC lineup is sophomore Jenna Shilts (75-47=122) in a tie for 39th place, and junior Frances Kim (78-52=130) tied for 66th place.
