Thomas Lifts Eagles Past No. 5 Northeastern in Overtime

WALTHAM, Mass. — Boston College women's hockey earned a 1–0 overtime victory over No. 5 Northeastern on Sunday afternoon at Bentley Arena, as Ava Thomas scored the game-winning power-play goal 2:50 into the extra session.
After a scoreless 60 minutes of regulation, the Eagles capitalized on the man advantage in overtime. Thomas buried the decisive tally, finishing a setup from Sammy Taber and Olivia Maffeo to lift BC to the Hockey East victory.
The game was a defensive battle throughout, with both teams trading chances but unable to break through in regulation. Northeastern held a slight edge in shots, 38–32, but Boston College generated key pressure late to force overtime.
Senior goaltender Grace Campbell delivered a standout performance in net, stopping all 38 shots she faced to record the shutout. Campbell made 15 saves in the first period and followed with another 15 in the second to anchor the Eagles defensively.
Boston College (14-17-1, 12-9-1 Hockey East) secured the overtime victory against the fifth-ranked Huskies at Bentley Arena.
