WORCESTER, Mass. — Boston College women's hockey dropped a 3–1 decision to Holy Cross on Friday evening at the Hart Center after the Crusaders scored twice on the power play.
Holy Cross opened the scoring at 5:18 of the first period on an even-strength goal from Emily Crovo to take a 1–0 lead into the intermission.
Boston College tied the game early in the second period. Ava Thomas scored on the power play at 2:33, netting her 12th goal of the season to make it 1–1. Holy Cross regained the lead later in the frame with a power-play goal at 9:55 and carried a 2–1 advantage into the third.
The Crusaders added another power-play goal at 4:10 of the third period to close out the scoring.
Senior goaltender Grace Campbell finished with 25 saves. Boston College held a 30–28 edge in shots on goal, and Thomas led all skaters with 13 shots.
