World Games: Team USA Captures Gold at World Games

Representing BC are Shea Dolce, one of two collegiate players on the team, Cassidy Weeks, Kenzie Kent, Charlotte North, and Sam Apuzzo - one of the two captains on the team. Catherine Conway '12 will be on the sidelines as an assistant coach with Team Ireland.
Game 5: USA 16, Canada 8
- Dolce dominated the first half of Sunday's contest, registering 11 saves and a .733 save percentage. The rising senior finished the tournament with 38 saves and a .594 save clip.
- Weeks led the Stars and Stripes with four goals, finishing with four goals on top of five points.
- Kent dished out four assists with a score and five points, while Apuzzo scored three times with two helpers and five points.
- North had two goals and an assist for three points.
- Dolce and North were named to the All-World Team. North finished the tournament with 16 goals and 13 assists for 29 points.
- Kent led the way with 16 assists and was second with seven ground balls. She poured in 22 points through the five wins.
- Apuzzo had 14 goals and six assists for 20 points.
- Weeks finished with 15 points.

Game 4: USA 24, Japan 10
- The Stars and Stripes clinched a spot in the World Games final on Sunday against Canada.
- All five players scored at least two points, with North posting six points (4 goals, 2 assists)
- Apuzzo registered three with a goal and two helpers, while Kent totaled three points.
- Weeks found the back of the net twice with an assist and Dolce stoped eight shots for a .571 save percentage and a pair of assists.
- It's the third straight World Games championship appearance.
- North is tied for the team lead with 26 points thanks to 14 goals and 12 assists. Her and Kent are tied with a team-best 12 assists.
- Dolce has a .551 save percentage and 27 saves.

Game 3: USA 32, Czechia 8
- Team USA finished undefeated in pool play with the 24-goal victory.
- North scored 10 goals with 10 assists for 20 points.
- Apuzzo surpassed double-figure points with 12 thanks to 10 goals and a pair of helpers.
- Kent once again dished her way to 14 points, highlighted by 10 assists with four goals while collecting a team-high five ground balls.
- Weeks totaled four goals, three assists and seven points.
- Dolce collected four saves in the victory.
- After three games, Dolce has a .543 save percentage, while Kent and North lead the way with 10 assists. North's 20 points total is tied for the team lead.
- Weeks has four goals and three assists, while Apuzzo has 10 goals, two assists and six draw controls.
- USA has a combined 89 goals in three contests, which is already more than the 57 the team scored in its pool play in 2022.

Game 2: USA 25, Australia 13
- Team USA continued the strong start in group play with the 12-goal victory.
- Kent highlighted the day with a game-best eight points, thanks to seven assists with a goal.
- Apuzzo registered five points with four goals and a helper.
- Weeks netted three points (2 goals, 1 assist) and North totaled a goal and an assist.
- Dolce carded in five saves and a .500 save percentage in 16 minutes.
- After two games, four players have at least 10 points, including North and Kent at 10. Dolce has a .556 save percentage with 15 saves.
Game 1: USA 32, Ireland 11
- All five Eagles contributed to the 23-goal win, as four of the five collected at least two points.
- North registered five goals and three assists for eight points.
- Kent tallied two goals, while Apuzzo (1 goal, 1 assist) and Weeks (1 goal, 1 assist) carded two points.
- Dolce played the first half, stopping nine shots and turned in a .600 save percentage. She also tallied an assist in the victory.
- Team USA returns to action at 10:30 p.m. ET to face Australia.
