NEWTON, Mass. – Sophie Reale scored three times on Sunday afternoon to help the Eagles to a 6-1 victory against UAlbany.
Sophie Reale got the Boston College offense started two minutes into the game. Reale recorded her second goal of the year, after taking the ball from the top of the right to the top of the left side and sending it past the goalkeeper.
Milla Lee added the Eagles' second goal six minutes later. Lydia Poullin sent the ball from midfield to Sadie Mathis, who crossed it to Lee, allowing her to score against the UAlbany goalkeeper.
Ada Henschien netted her first goal of the season by capitalizing on a rebound from Milla Lee's shot.
UAlbany managed to respond to Boston College's three goals with one of their own in the 37th minute, leaving BC with a 3-1 lead at halftime.
In the second half, Reale completed her hat trick with two additional goals. This marked the first time since 2018 that a Boston College player has scored three goals in a single game.
Emily Mara capped off the scoring with the last goal of the contest, leading the Eagles to a decisive 6-1 victory over UAlbany.
