News and Notes from Day 3 of Training Camp
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. -- On an August Saturday that felt more like an October Saturday, the Boston College Eagles football program held their third Training Camp practice of the season on the practice fields outside Fish Field House.Â
After practice, Head Coach Bill O'Brien met with the media, along with defensive back Carter Davis and running back Turbo Richard.Â
In just three Training Camp sessions, Saturday proved to be the most physical practice so far, with both the offense and the defense taking shots whenever they could.Â
"First day in shoulder pads, the guys were fired up… I love the intensity. I love the energy. I love how these guys show up to practice," said Head Coach Bill O'Brien.Â
After recording an interception in a competitive team period, redshirt sophomore Carter Davis recognized the abilities of the group around him.Â
"All of them get me better. I'm sharpening them. They're sharpening me. It's a blessing to have those guys around me."
As practice went on, the offense wouldn't go away quietly. It was a tough, downhill run by senior Jordan McDonald that got those on the sideline jumping around.Â
"It's just a way to set the tone for practice. Let them know how it's going to be all practice. We all need that," said fellow running back Turbo Richard.Â
The Eagles return to the practice field tomorrow morning. Practices are closed to the public.Â
