League-Best Six Women's Golfers Named to All-ACC Academic Team

BC women's golf recognized for their academic and athletic excellence
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. — Six Boston College women's golfers were honored by the Atlantic Coast Conference for their academic excellence.  Emily Böhrer, Frances Kim, Stephany Kim, Angel Lin, Ana Lucia Trevino, and Cynthia Zhang were named to the 2025 All-ACC Academic Women's Golf Team.  A total of 74 student-athletes from 15 ACC programs were recognized and Boston College tied for the lead among all ACC schools with six honorees.Â
Böhrer appeared in nine tournaments in 2024-25, registering an adjusted stroke average of 75.8 over 25 rounds of play. Â Her best finish of the year came at the Red Bandanna Invitational on Sept 23-24, finishing in third place.
Frances Kim saw action in nine tournament (26 rounds), finishing her first year at BC with a 74.4 adjusted scoring average. Â She had two top 10 finishes in the fall and her best finish of the spring came at the Reynolds Lake Oconee Invitational, placing seventh overall.
Stephany Kim played 17 total rounds (six starts), registering an adjusted scoring average of 76.6. Â She finished ninth in the fall at the Diamante Intercollegiate, finishing at 4-under par for the 54 holes of play.
Lin was runner-up at the Red Bandanna Invitational in the fall and posted four top 10 finishes in 2024-25. Â During the spring, Lin was sixth at the Reynolds Lake Oconee Invite, 10th at the Puerto Rico Shootout, and tied for seventh at the Veritex Bank Collegiate. Â In nine starts (25 rounds), her adjusted scoring average was 74.0.Â
In her first season as a collegiate golfer, Trevino made seven starts (20 rounds) and registered an adjusting 76.2 stroke average. Â Her best finish came during the fall - a fifth-place finish at the Red Bandanna Invitational.
Zhang had an outstanding 2024-25 campaign for the Eagles, earning an individual qualifying spot in the NCAA Regional round. Â The team leader in stroke average (72.7), she won the Red Bandanna Invitational and posted runner-up finishes at the Quinnipiac Classic and the Diamante Intercollegiate during the fall. Â In total, she posted seven top 15 finishes in her nine starts.

- A minimum 3.0 grade-point average in the most recent semester
