10 Eagles Named to Men’s Hockey East All-Academic Team

Mike Posma and Gentry Shamburger were recognized as a Distinguished Scholars

AMESBURY, Mass. – 10 student-athletes from the Boston College men's hockey team were named to the 2024-25 Hockey East All-Academic team, as announced by the league office on Wednesday morning.

Each student-athlete who received the honor achieved a grade point average of 3.0 or better in each of the two academic periods during which he was actively competing.

Forwards Mike Posma and Gentry Shamburger were recognized as Distinguished Scholars for making the All-Academic team for the fourth time. Will Traeger earned a spot for the third-straight season, while Jan Korec, Ryan Leonard, and Alex Musielak were named to the squad for the second time.
