Women's Golf Adds Cao, Bierstorfer

Transfer from Texas and Tennessee will join the Eagles for 2025-26
CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. — Boston College women's golf announced the addition of two transfers.  Tiffany Cao and Sophie Bierstorfer will join the Eagles for the upcoming 2025-26 season. Â
Cao comes to BC after spending the previous four years at Texas. Â During her three seasons of competition at UT, she appeared in nine events (20 rounds). Â This past season, Cao played in three events, with her best finish coming at the Therese Hession Regional Challenge, where she was at even-par, tying for eighth place. Â She also tied for second, playing as an individual, at the Lady Bulldog Classic. Â Cao had an adjusted scoring average of 72.5 in 2024-25.
Originally from Midlothian, Texas, she earned her degree in management information systems this past May and will have one season of competition remaining for BC.
Bierstorfer spent the 2024-25 season at Tennessee, appearing in four tournaments (11 rounds). Â She registered an adjusted scoring average of 74.9 and had a season-best 30th place finish at the Cavalier Regional Preview, where she carded a season-low round of 68.
Hailing from Munich, Germany, she spent her first season of collegiate golf playing at Miami, competing in three tournaments (nine rounds). Bierstorfer tallied a 73.9 stroke average during the 2023-24 season.
